Proceeds from the Amy Thompson Run for Brain Injury benefit the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City ( www.biaks.org ). They in turn, provide critical funding for prevention programming as well as information and direct support for individuals and their loved ones who face the ongoing trauma of brain injury. Since its inception the run has raised more than 1.5 million to help all people with brain injury.
Loose Park is where it all takes place! The run includes an 8K, a 2 mile run/walk and a Kiddie Dash. Courses are certified and chip timed. Enjoy, music, food and drink as you participate in a run that remains a Kansas City Memorial Day tradition.
