The Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City will use the money raised through the Amy Thompson Run For Brain Injury:

  • To provide information and referral through the BIAKS information line to survivors of brain injury and their family members in order to facilitate the recovery process.
  • To provide seminars for survivors and family members.
  • To provide bicycle helmets to children in need to prevent brain injuries.
  • To educate elementary, middle, and high school students about the importance of safety belts, helmets, and avoiding risky behaviors.
  • To help provide advocacy and legislation that will benefit survivors of brain injury.
  • To educate professionals working with people with brain injury.

We thank you in advance for your generosity.  Proceeds from the Run provide critical funding for prevention programming as well as information and direct support for individuals and their loved ones who face the ongoing trauma of brain injury.
